Flight One of Three

Wow! This flight is long! I am actually beginning this while still on the plane. Currently it is 3:40pm on the East Coast of the States. In Tokyo it is 4:40am. We are estimated to land around 1:04pm (Japan Time) in Tokyo and we have about 8 hours and 24 minutes left.

So far, I think the worst part of this flight is my seat. It’s not the fact that I am sitting in the second to last row of this plane, the fact that I am a middle seat in a middle row, that the guy next to me has almost fallen asleep on me a few times, that I'm the only one that got to sit next to someone from Loop, or that there is a small space. It all has entirely to do with the fact that the person in front of me put his seat all the way back 2 hours into the flight!!! Yes for the past three hours I've not been able to use my screen or tray. Actually, As I was typing the last sentence he finally woke up. He sat up and firmly looked at me and saw how cramped I am, sat up and put his back against the seat without moving it up. I can't stand it!! I do not like this man!! JERKFACE!!! (PS now he just got up and left his seat back such an butthole)

Other than my seat I love how I am one of the only Loopers (is that what we are?) that ended up to another looper, Hailey. Hailey and I got the seats right to each other. I haven't had the luck she has to watch movies because it’s such a weird angle to look at the screen. It’s also a weird angle to be typing on my laptop, but I'm so bored, so I'm “sucking it up!” and pushing through. That'll be my motto on this trip if I get sick or if anyone starts to get on my nerves.

I haven't eaten so much yet really I haven't really been hungry. We were severed lunch. Hailey got a vegetarian meal, it didn't look appetizing, we learned that sometimes looks are right, Hailey hated it. Everyone else had a choice of general Tso's chicken or a different dish that I don't remember because it wasn't appealing to me. I was set to get the chicken. By the time they got to the back of the plane they had run out of the two choices so I was served a salad with lasagna. It also came with a roll and a brownie that ended up having nuts in it. I tried a taste of the lasagna however I really didn't like it. (Mom, you should be proud.) I just stuck to the salad, which was pretty good. I also ate the roll and gave the brownie to Hailey. A while later we munched on fruit loops, that I did, as always, eat by color. Right now we have some swedish fish I’m pretty sure I'm going to put them away soon though.

I killed about 3 hours by reading a bit of my summer reading book. It’s actually and a really good book, however I’m a SUPER slow reader. But whatever, I did want to keep reading it but it’s WAY too dark in here with everyone’s windows closed and the light off. I haven't figured out how to reach the light above my head to turn it on.

Well, I'm not too sure I have too much more to write just now. I'll write later on how landing goes in Tokyo. Oh, by the way our flight was only estimated to be about 10 hours when we took off, now we are back up to the original time due to all the turbulence that we have hit. It was almost worse than a roller coaster. We shook for a whole 62 minutes. But hey who was counting. (Most people slept through it, I'm not quite sure how.) Now we only shake for a few minutes at a time, It’s still pretty often but it’s getting better. I hope the rest of the flights are better.

Hey, We are over Siberia right now, and it's beautiful. I think I'll get up and walk around for a while!

Update(8/5/13): I walked around for about an hour. and about a total of 3 hours during the entire flight. I did end up watching a movie. Actually, Hailey and I started a movie at the same time and watched it together. We watched 50 First Dates. I loved it!
